Have you ever noticed the signs that are just for you?
When I was in my early twenties, I remember watching the show Star Search and one of the categories was for supermodels. One night, they said, the name Michaela (She was from Argentina so, it was pronounced, with a Spanish inflection). I was immediately attracted to her name, but I didn't know why but I felt the nudge.
A couple of months later, I met a makeup artist; we were both doing makeup for a modelling agency; she was from England and, her name was Mikayla. This was the second time hearing this name but slightly different and, I still had that nudge that it was important for me to pay attention.
These two times, I felt my breath taken, I knew it was important and began to think if I have a daughter, I am going to give her this name.
A couple of years later I met my husband and guess what, his name was Michael!
One year before we got married, I heard the name a 3rd time as Michaela Dr. Quinn on the Medicine woman TV show. I again felt the nudge.
I was set on this name so, I took it as a sign since my husband's name was Michael. It was never my plan to name any of my children after me or my future husband because I always wanted my child to feel they had their own identity. I felt compelled to give my daughter this name, so I tried other names because my husband was not as in love with the name as I was. No other name felt right, so I knew it just had to be.
When something shows up several times, especially 3, I feel compelled to listen and act on the intuitive hit.
Have you ever experienced something so strongly that you followed your intuition? Have you seen the signs that you could not ignore?
The more you listen, the clearer they will get.
How do you connect to nature?
What happens to you when you connect in nature?
How do you elevate your connection to the Universe... you spend time in nature and love it's beauty.
Nature has its own wonder, its own beauty that the Universe created and how can you not grow great appreciation of all it offers. When you spend time in nature you move into a sense of gratitude for all that has been created and how each thing is unique in its perfection and imperfection. Just spending time outside helps you to understand how complex and yet how simple things are. The ability to be curious and open to nature helps you to be open to the possibilities that you would never think were possible.
When you are with nature you become what nature is, your true authentic self. You just are; just like the sun is what it is, and the moon is what it is and the plants and animals are just what they are. There is no questioning they and you just are your authentic selves.
That is why it is so easy to connect with the Universe and open to messages. Nature is the perfect place to meditate whether you like to sit or walk in nature it is all a meditation, your divine connection.
When you are looking for connection to the Universe you need to learn to be open and understand that everything that comes to you is a message that comes in the form of a sign or symbol. The symbols that you receive journal about them .
What do you do when you can't go out into nature, find a way to still connect with it, that may mean going into your backyard, going out on your balcony, opening a window. Nature is still there even if its not in a park, forest, or beach. There are so many ways you still can connect with it by growing plants, watching wildlife, watching and listening to the birds. If you can, stare at the sky to watch the sunrise, sunset, clouds, stars and the moon. Listening to nature sounds, real or recorded will also help you to connect. When you can find ways to immerse yourself with nature it shifts your energy to a higher vibration.
When you meditate you can also connect with nature through visualization to bring you to anywhere you would like to go. Your body and mind will not know the difference and so you will lift your vibration.
I love using the essential oil of cedar to transport me into nature. I feel grounded and taken to a place of comfort. Finding those tools that help you to open up to feel like you are one with the Universe is helpful when you are just starting out.
Nothing like home renovations to trigger an empath, the need for a sacred space is imperative to an empath, and when it is disrupted, it can be difficult for an empath to recharge.
Clutter will make you tired, and you will find it difficult to think when you do want to get things done.
Our furnace stopped working in March, and this snowballed to start a basement renovation. The basement had been my workshop space for my career as a makeup artist, hair, and wig artist but this all needed to be moved throughout our home.
This, triggered me into several discoveries may be, it is time to let go of this career and all the equipment I need for it. It took me down, memory lane as I started to get rid of things and move them.
I grew up in a cluttered home and often I would be embarrassed and I would run all over the house to clean up before the company came over.
I never understood why this seemed to be a family trait, but I did know that it was an important lesson.
Clutter has a way of creeping in over-time. I wanted to understand why this appeared to be a family issue. I needed to get to the bottom of it once and for all.
I believe I understand now that clutter was a way of being safe as an empath.
The energy from the stuff helped keep the noise of other people's emotions away, as well as our connection to our own emotions so that we never had to deal with them.
The clutter brings up several factors:
The stuff itself gives you something to complain about; it takes up time and space so that you can't have time to do the things you love.
The other thing about it is that every object in your home has the energy that it holds.
When an empath is away from clutter and the busyness, it can become uncomfortable because other information is now able to get through, the energy, of people, spirit, the earth, and your own higher self.
When an empath is ready to let go of the stuff that has been keeping them safe, they often will need help to do it. The emotions can flood in while letting go and, a support person, a friend, family member or a coach are beneficial to help them process the information and the letting go.
They feel so deeply with every item and, any change can be difficult. An empath has difficulty in releasing items because they still have value, even if it isn't of use to them anymore, they understand that it can be useful to others. They don't want to waste something when someone can use it, create money from it and most especially not pollute the planet by just throwing it away.
An empath is very compassionate towards people because they see the value of everyone no matter what the person has been through, their class, their abundance, their stature, age, gender, and lifestyle. They see value in everything. They are often loyal to people for too long because they understand that everyone is capable of having a great life. They want to believe the best of people.
The other reason it is also difficult for empaths to let go is that they want to be helpful to others, always prepared to help, the MacGyver that can pull anything out of nowhere. They don't feel like they are enough, not feeling worthy. So, if they have what you need, they will give it to you just to be helpful or liked.
When you begin to feel worthy, the stuff is easier to release.
I think in my process of looking at this, I realize I came from a family of empaths, who felt so deeply, and had a lack of self-worth that became their self-protection which was passed down, from generation to generation.
